Vishnu Purana Consists of 6 Parts are Following

1. Cosmology : The first Amsha (part) of Vishnu Purana presents cosmology, dealing with the creation, maintenance and destruction of the universe.

2. Earth : The second part of the text describes its theory of earth, the seven continents and seven oceans. It describes mount Meru, mount Mandara and other major mountains, as well as Bharata-varsha (literally, the country of Bharata) along with its numerous rivers and diverse people.

3. Time : The initial chapters of the third book of the Vishnu Purana presents its theory of manvantaras, or Manus-ages (each equals about 4.3 million years).This is premised upon the Hindu belief that everything is cyclic, and even Yuga (era, ages) start, mature and then dissolve.

4. Dynasties : The fourth book of the text, in 24 long chapters, presents mythical royal dynasties, starting with Brahma, followed by solar and lunar dynasties, then those on earth over the Yugas (eras), with Pariksit asserted as the "current king"

5. Krishna :The fifth book of the Vishnu Purana is the longest, with 38 chapters. It is dedicated to the legend of Krishna, as an avatar of Vishnu

6. Liberation : The pure and perfect soul is called Vishnu, states the text, and absorption in Vishnu is liberation.

ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಭುಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಹುಣಸಿ ಹಡಗೀಲ

ಪರಮ  ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಭುಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ 

ಪರಮ  ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವಲಿಂಗ ಮುತ್ಯಾ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ 

ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷದ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಹಾರ್ದಿಕ ಸುಭಾಶಯಗಳು. 

ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಭುಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಮೋಹೋತ್ಸವ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಹುಣಸಿ ಹಡಗೀಲ ಸುಮಾರು 5 ದಿನಗಳ ಪರ್ಯಂತ ನಡೆಯುವ ಈ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಮೋಹೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಗತ. ಕಲ್ಬುರ್ಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಇಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 20 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ. ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ದೇವರು ಎಂದೇ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಪವಾಡ  ಪುರುಷ ಪರಮ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವಲಿಂಗ ಮುತ್ಯಾ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ನಾಡನ್ನು ಕೈಲಾಸವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವಲಿಂಗ ಮುತ್ಯಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋಟಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳು.

Sharanbasveshwar Jatra

ಶ್ರೀ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ

ಕಲಬುರಗಿ: ಹಿಂದು-ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ, ಕಾಯಕ ದಾಸೋಹ ಸಾರಿದ, ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕಲಬುರಗಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಷಣಗಣನೆ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜಾತ್ರೆಗೆ ದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಜೇವರ್ಗಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅರಳಗುಂಡಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 1746 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಆದಯ್ಯಪ್ಪ ಮಡಿವಾಳಮ್ಮ ದಂಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರು, ಮಹಾದಾಸೋಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತ ಸಂಕುಲದ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಿ ಹೆಸರಾದವರು. ಜಾತಿ ಮತ ಬೇಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಶರಣ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರು, ಮಹಾನ್‌ ಪವಾಡ ಪುರುಷರಾಗಿ ಭಕ್ತರ ಏಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಭಕ್ತರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕಾದವರು.

ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಮುಖ ಯಾಕೆ?

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಯಾವೂದೇ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು ಒಂದು ಮುಖ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕಲಬುರಗಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಮುಖಗಳಿರುವದು ವಿಶೇಷ. ಒಂದು ಮುಖ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಅವರ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಮರುಳಸಿದ್ದ ಶಿವಯೋಗಿ ಶಿವಾಚಾರ್ಯರದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ. 

ವಿಜಯಪೂರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಿಂದಗಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕಲಕೇರಿ ಮರುಳಸಿದ್ದ ಶಿವಯೋಗಿ ಶಿವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ ಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಗುರು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಒಂದೆ ದಿನ ಲಿಂಗೈಕ್ಯರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಒಂದೆ ಗದ್ದುಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಗದ್ದುಗೆಗಳೆ ಇಂದಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ.

ಗುರುಗಳನ್ನೇ ಮೀರಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಶಿಷ್ಯ

ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆ ಇದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನದೂದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರ ಕಷ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಪಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪವಾಡಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಕ್ತರ ನೋವಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಿ, ಭಕ್ತ ಸಂಕುಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳಕಾದರು ಮಹಾನ್‌ ಪುರುಷ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರು.

ಮಹಾದಾಸೋಹಿ ಶರಣಬಸವೇಶ್ವರರ 196ನೇ ಪುಣ್ಯತಿಥಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೀಠಾರೋಹಣ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ ಮಾ. 05 ರಂದು ಸಂಜೆ 6 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಉಚ್ಚಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ 06 ರಂದು ಸಂಜೆ 6 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಈಗಿನ ಪೀಠಾಧೀಪತಿ ಡಾ. ಶರಣಬಸವಪ್ಪ ಅಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಪರುಶು ಬಟ್ಟಲು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ರಥೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 

Shiva Panchakshara Stothra

Lord Shiva, The famous God worshiped as main deity by millions of Hindus and others all over the world. 

This Shiva Panchakshara Stothra has five stanza as following with their meaning.

1. Nagendra haraya Trilochanaya,
Basmanga ragaya maheswaraya,
Nithyaya shudhaya digambaraya,
Tasmai nakaraya namashivaya.

Meaning: My salutations to the letter “Na” , which is Shiva,
Who wears as garland the king of snakes.
Who has three eyes,
Who wears ash all over his body,
Who is the greatest Lord of all Lords,
Who is forever,
Who is the cleanest,
And who wears the directions themselves as dress

2. Mandakini salila chandana charchithaya,
Nandeeswara pramadha nadha maheswaraya,
Mandra pushpa bahu pushpa supoojithaya,
Tasmai makaraya namashivaya.

Meaning: My salutations to the letter “Ma” , which is Shiva,
Who is bathed by waters of ganges,
Who applies sandal paste all over him,
Who has Lord Nandi as his chiefton,
Who is the greatest lord,
And who is worshipped by Mandhara and many other flowers.

3. Shivaaya gowri vadanara vinda,
Sooryaya daksha dwara naasakaya,
Sri neela kantaya vrisha dwajaya,
Tasmai sikaraya namashivaya.

Meaning: My salutations to the letter “Si” , which is Shiva,
Who is peace personified,
Who is like Sun to the Lotus face of Gowri[1],
Who destroyed the fire sacrifice of Daksha[2],
Who has a blue neck,
And who has a bull in his flag.

4. Vasishta kumbhodhbhava gowthamadhi.
Munendra devarchitha shekaraya,
Chandrarka vaiswanara lochanaya,
Tasmai vakaraya namashivaya.

Meaning: My salutations to the letter “Va” , which is Shiva,
Who is worshipped by great sages like,
Vasishta, Agasthya and Gowthama ,
As also the devas,
And who has sun , moon and fire as his three eyes.

5. Yaksha swaroopaya jada dharaya,
Pinaka hasthathaya sanathanaya,
Divyaya devaaya digambaraya,
Tasmai yakaraya namashivaya.

Meaning: My salutations to the letter “Ya” , which is Shiva,
Who takes the form of Yaksha,
Who has a tufted hair,
Who is armed with spear,
Who is forever filled with peace,
Who is godly,
Who is the great God,
And who wears the directions themselves as dress.

Phalashruthi
Panchaksharamidham punyam,
Ya pateth Shiva sannidou,
Shivaloka maapnothi,
Shive na saha modithe.



Those who read these holy five letters great,
In the temple of Shiva or Mahadeva,.
Would go to the world of Shiva or Kailash (Heaven),
And be forever happy with Him.

What is Vaikuntha Ekadashi

Vaikuntha Ekadashi

Vaikuntha Ekadashi that occurs during the December or January month in the English Calendar [or DhanurMaas in Hindu calendar] 

Vaishnavism (Worship of Vishnu) culture believes that 'Vaikuntha Dwaar' or 'the gate to Lord's Inner Sanctum' is opened on this day. 

It is also called "Mokshada Ekadashi", liberation or free from cycle of births and deaths. And one who worships Lord Vishnu on this auspicious day and keep fasting throughout the day and night and chants holy names of Lord Sri Vishnu and doing Yagnas, enters vaikunta loka where lord vishnu resides.

Fasting and chanting rules:

• Complete fasting on this day is observed.
• Rice intake is completely prohibited on this day.
• Sitting in dhayn posture or in Yoga posture and chanting holy names of Lord Vishnu is utmost important.
• Maintaining complete bramahacharya is most essential.
• Away from bad habits like smoking, drinking etc.
• No argue with anyone on this day.
